Hello from Herent (Flanders, Belgium)

Hello!
I'm Alex. I am a 58-year-old enthusiastic motorcyclist from Herent (5 km from Leuven - 25 km from Brussels) Since 2000, I have been riding BMW RTs which I use mainly for commuting. In March 2023, I took delivery of my R1250RT.
On the left is my previous 2021 RT.
For years I used Basecamp for route creation. With the TFT screen on the new RTs, I could no longer use my BMW Navigator IV (Garmin) and started looking for a good online route planner. I experimented a bit with RouteYou (from Flanders!), but in the end I opted for the My Route App because it does offer more features.
I do still use my BMW Navigator for trips with our 7-year-old Mazda MX5.
I have been married to Carol for 31 years. We (consciously) don’t have children, but we do have two cats!
