Expand and Reduce

Hi, what is the purpose of the ‘expand’ and ‘reduce’ option in the toll kit? Thank you.

I have used reduce when importing gpx routes I have found online.
Some have way too many waypoints to be practical. So use the reduce feature

I guess you've already found the answer, but anyway: The expand is there to add x number of waypoints to a route. This helps the navigator that you have to use exactly the route you planned on the computer.
