OpenStreetMap or HERE for BMW Nav 6?

Hi guys,
New to MRA as trying to get away from Basecamp for route planning for my BMW Navigator 6. Finding your discussions on various elements very useful.
One thing I need to know is - Does using Open Street Map (free) cause probelms? Or, should I pay for PRO and use HERE map instead as MRA recommend?

BMW Navigator 6 is a Gamin based product.
So you need to use Here for best result of your routes.
You can use OSM though. But then you have to use enough routepoints.
If you then use the route track and convert it to a route in your NAV VI you will have a pretty good result.
