Routes straight lining
-
All my routes on my Garmin Zumo XT are now all straight lines. Have tried renewing and replacing them but has made no diffrence. This I think has only happened since updating the maps on the device. Anyone else have this problem?

@brian-martin I have updated the ZumoXT maps to CN 2022.20 NTU yesterday and it seems ok for me.
I have saved 2 routes for testing as GPX 1.1 and GPX 1.2 format (the both topmost menus items) and send it to my ZumoXT via Garmin Drive app.
In both cases the routes followed the streets at the map on my Zumo. There are no straight line at all. -
@brian-martin
I haven’t done the update yet but all my routes are ok in the Trip Planner App on my XT.
No Straight lines.
The changes to GPX 1.1(Route, Track, POI) and GPX 1.2(Route, Track, POI) are very recent.
Maybe your routes were older versions?
I purposefully removed all my Road routes from the Trip Planner App on the XT when MRA confirmed that GPX1.1 would show Via Points and Shaping Points. (Even though I never use Via Points)
I then re-imported them all with the”new” GPX 1.1 export. My Off-Road Tracks including the full TET UK Western Trail still look ok as well in Explore on the XT.

Just ran the map update on the Zumo XT this morning.
All my Road routes in the Trip Planner App and Off-Road routes in Explore on the XT are all ok.
Imported a GPX 1.1 (Route, Track, POI) and this is also ok in the Trip Planner App.
No straight lines anywhere on my XT after this update.Just wondering if you are using the Garmin Drive App as part of your import process into the XT as for me and Reinhard-32 this gives no issues.
It’s probably worth detailing here, how you are exporting your routes into the XT, as others may have insights into your issue.

No, personally I only use the Garmin Drive App in an emergency when there is no PC available to use.
I save all routes via the connector, and for multi-day trips, I save them as (gpx 1.1 (Route, Track, POI) on my PC and put it on my SD card on the XT.
Note, you can save up to 10 routes at once on your PC, these will be saved as a .zip file. Just unzip and put it on your XT in the correct folder on your XT or SD card on your XT.
Only the route and Track that I am going to drive are visible in "My Trips" and Tracks
