Maximum amount of POI's that can be added ?

Hi,
I am importing the location of Speed Cameras into MRA via the Library "Add" function.
My problem is that there are in excess if 3000 POI's in my file and when added into the I.O.S MRA App, i get an error message stating "Too Many POI's. Only the first 2000 will be displayed", see screenshot from the App below.
I have tried splitting the POI file into multiples of 1000 POI's but i still have the same issue.
Is there a limit to total POI's that i can add, if so can it be increased please ?

@Martin-White I had a list of 3500 UK POIs. I opened the list in an Excel spreadsheet, sorted them by Latitude and divided the file into north and south. The maximum size is 2000, it was set at that because more than that created problems.

Thanks for your quick response.
I have tried breaking the file down to under 1000 POI’s but I still have the error message and I can see that some POI’s are missing on the map.
I did this in a csv and also a gpx (excel) file type so not sure why I’m getting the error still.

I should also add that I chose the “always show on map” slider to be “on”.

What was the file type you used prior to editing please?

Please check if other POIs are already active in the menu for continuous viewing.

Hi Hubert,

I have checked your suggestion and even with the POI’s not selected in the web based version, I am still getting the error of too many POI’s even after splitting the files to under 1000 POI’s each and naming them differently, ie “Specs 1” and “Specs 2”.
I did the editing from a csv file editing in excel.
I’m sure it’s ab MRA issue.

I think if you zoom in you'll probably see more POIs appear.
I downloaded a list of POIs in .csv format.
It's actually a list of public quite useful when you're of a certain age

But if I zoom in tighter there are many more visible, there are 968 POIs in this list:

I have experienced that a public file with motorcycle closures for Germany has also caused this message.

In the downloaded file were POI s of the signs at the beginning and at the end of the route which is okay but it was also between beginning to end a route in this file.

I couldn't see it in MRA and loaded this public file into Basecamp, where I was only able to see it. Then deleted the routes in BaseCamp in the file and there were 106 POI left. I read this file again, and then everything was good. VG

Just to clarify, is it a total of 2000 POI’s across all Files / categories added ?
Example, I can add a maximum of 4 files of 500 POI’s OR 10 files containing 20 POI’s or multiples of each (as long as the total of 2000 POI’s is adhered to).

OR

Is it a maximum of 2000 POI’s in a single file but I can add more files ?
Example, I can add 4 files (or more) each containing 2000 POI’s totalling 8000 POI’s
or 10 Files of 500 POI’s

@Martin-White As far as I am aware it is a maximum of 2000 POI files across all categories.

What would be interesting to know is WHICH POI actually fall within that limit of 2000. If they are 2000 POI centered from your own position, that would probably be just fine for almost anyone. If it is in order from appearing in the list, you could end up with all closures in North Germany, while you are riding in Schwarzwald...

To add to myself
Very clever would be a feature that loads POI only within let's say 50 or 100km centered from your position, and it get's refreshed every minute or 5. I cannot imagine that to be more than a few 100, under normal circumstances, and they refresh pretty quick I guess.
