Correct sound settings?

Could someone please tell me whether it’s important to set a specific language here at the TTS Engine and under ‘Voice’?

At the moment, the system is set to ‘Unknown’… My voice prompts are working fine, though.

But it would be interesting to know whether it would be better to set the system language here.

I know I can change it... but is it necessary to set a different voice here? As I mentioned before, my announcements are working, so I’d like to know if it makes sense to change anything here?

No, you are not forced to do so. You can, if you want something different. Otherwise you can use the default.

No, that's not necessary. I did it anyway because I don't like being guided by a female voice (don't feel offended). She nags at my head enough at home already...

my waypoints have norwegian names. but they are pronounced in English which sometimes results in strange sounds. Selecting a norwegian voice doesn't change how the names are pronounced. Is this because Norwegian is not in the list of supported languages? Is there a way for me to improve here? (android).
