Moving Map does not work with CP

Hi, just tried the first time using MRA with a Remotek One Controller in combination with CarPlay. Zooming +/- is working fine via controller for iPhone and CarPlay device.

Moving the map around with the cursor buttons of the controller seems not to work. Also moving the map on the iPhone manually does not move the map on the CarPlay device. Is this a normal behaviour?

That is correct.
Bluetooth controllers are not designed to control CarPlay / Android Auto.
Some features do work (like zooming / skipping waypoints) but we don't recommend these controllers for controlling the app in car head units.

I think the question should be: I've paired the Remotek One with my iPhone. Zooming in and out works on my phone, but moving the map left and right, and up and down, doesn't.

@Huibertus Which language have you set in the MRA app?
I have the Silverfox C1 controller, and when I set it to German, the controller only works partially.

However, when I change the app language to English in the MRA app settings, the controller works perfectly.

Perhaps you could test this and let us know here whether it improves your problem.

The Silverfox controller is working really great, as long as you have set english in the MRA settings.

Zoom in and out, skip waypoints, map moving in every direction and more.....

Search for Bluetooth Controller on the support website.

I would definitely check Silverfox as well, before deciding what you want to buy.

@Peter-Zehentreiter, I find it very strange for a BT controller to be sending different characters based on language alone. I use a SilverFox with language settings in Dutch (Android as well as the MRA app itself. That seems to be no problem. Do you by any chance use a keymapper app?

I have used the keymapper several times and also sent the log files to Corjan, and I have already created a ticket, but unfortunately I am not getting anywhere this way.

As I already wrote, the C1 has even been replaced by Silverfox and has the latest firmware installed.

But why does the C1 work fine with German on an Android 12 phone (but not on Android 13 and higher)?

In Android 12, it is not possible to change the language in MRA at all, only from Android 13 onwards.

Any logical person would assume there is a connection here.

Maybe you'll feel like it and have the time to set up a phone in German and MRA in German and then test Silverfox on your device.

What I will do on my side, I'll completly set dutsch on my Motorola edge 40 phone and as well in the MRA App and will test whether zoom out is possible.

I just have to wait until the end of februay, then I will report to you.
