@Lenny-O, it is working of course, but not all info available within the app is available on the device, and not all buttons and menu options are available either. You can look at the AA/CP screen as a bit simplified app. This to be able to honor all Apple / Google enforced restrictions. Many people are happy with it, some not
Check the CarPlay and Android Auto sections of this SUPPORT PAGE to decide for yourself.

I prefer the mobile phone solution with Remotek One as already described in a trade, which because the zooming +/- at CP / AA with the WW somehow goes over the menu but not directly so easy, and especially the helpful WP skipping with the WW probably does not work with CP / AA, but is very important to me.

Pretty soon after purchasing the Remotek One, I also sold my CarPlay box. Personally, I would go for a good phone holder and a good remote.

How did you get your cradle into a vertical mode? Mine seems only to allow horizontal. Do you have a special bracket on the bar behind?

This is the 3D pattern print, there are still 10mm missing because of the lock of the BMW bracket.
