CarPlay - Waypoint View
-
Not sure what plans the Dev Team have for showing waypoints in CarPlay but I have a suggestion, particularly as V5 of the app has now been released.
My preference, as a settings option in addition to the standard function, would be to be able to use the ‘Skip Waypoint’ button on the CarPlay to bring up a list of the waypoints displayed like the waypoints list in the app - same detail, colours, times, distances etc. I should also be able to select a waypoint to route to from this last in the same way as the app on a phone.
This is the button I am talking about:

One other change I would like to see is the colour of waypoints changing to grey once they have been reached or skipped (manually and automatically). Another app I use does this and it makes looking at progress in ‘Overview’ a lot easier.
Not sure what is possible with the HERE SDK but the ability to view the waypoint list is one key function that I miss with the CarPlay view of the app.

Hi, i support this question
Even, the option “list waypoints” is in menu when activated on phone, but simply dissapear when open the menu on AA/CP.
Is possible to activate it on CP/AA?.

Waypoint list is something we definitely want to add to CarPlay / Android Auto!

On the phone we have the waypoint list and passed waypoints definitely have a different styling.

I would also like to suggest representing that icon with the symbol that you see in the app, that is, the same color that you set in the path, and even if you have set the small (
️) or the drop -

@Corjan-Meijerink I would also like to see that different styling on the map also and not just in the waypoint list. On both phone and CarPlay/AA maps.

I think it is a great idea to have the waypoint icon in the app as well changing color when the targeted waypoint number exceeds the ones visible on the map. Not only in the list. Maybe decrease it's tint 70% or something?
