I don't know about you all, but I can't really put my points more punctually on my route in MRA, yet I sometimes still get the message make a U-turn, which of course is not there. What is this now? Is this the XT? Is this due to MRA (save gpx 1.1 BETA)? I share the route here in the reactions, it's the last part some some shaping points between via-point 39 till 51.
That's the XT, I get that sometimes too.
Why is he giving this message? I would not know. Presumably because a shaping or via point is just on the other side of the road.
PS: Some shaping points and via points can be placed a little better.

The same behavior here in conjunction with the gpx 1.1 beta and the ZumoXT. Therefore i don’t use the gpx 1.1 beta anymore.

But then he doesn't mention anything, it's really only with shaping points and this time they were on a straight way the last piece of the road.... It's maybe 1/1000 of a mm, I think you can't see it with normal eyevieuw, you need tot take a magnifying glass to see if the point isn't right on the road

Indeed, I agree that if the points are as accurately placed as yours (I've seen a lot worse), there has to be another cause...
So we know that via points must be stopped at and if you go through them you will get a U-Turn notification.
I have recently had a few U-Turn notifications for shaping points that I could not work out why.
This may be a bonkers idea, but in a couple of these shaping points, I suspect I may have accidentally hit a bump, which caused me to accidentally go full throttle, and I may of accidentally exceeded the speed limit by a fair bit, if you get my drift. 
Could there be an issue with the XT due to lag, and is there a possibility that blasting through a shaping point, way above the speed limit could cause it not to be picked up by the XT?
There are some differences in the (here maps) used in MRA and in the Garmin Zumo(s)
See the differences in the appendix where the roads are:
Green = roads on the Here map in MRA
Lilac = roads on the CN NTU 2022.1 in Basecamp / Garmin Zumo (XT)
Only the card supplier can resolve those differences. If you place the shaping-points and via-points in the middle of the route line in MRA, you may get the message: "make a U-turn".
This is caused by the map difference, so a route point can just be outside the road according to the map in the Zumo.
If you make the track visible, you will see (if the route points are correct)

Thanks for providing that info Hans.
I appreciate that it is up to Garmin to resolve but this sort of makes the XT unusable/unreliable with MRA Planner until Garmin fix it.
Does this also affect using MRA Planner with MRA Navigation or is it exactly the same Here map in both?
I guess I will revert back to using the Tom Tom 550 for now and only use the XT for Off Road riding.

You can continue to use the planner and your XT, the only thing that can happen is that you can sometimes get the message "make a U-turn". This is because a formation point according to the map in the XT is wrong. You can just drive on, the message is given twice and no more.
You can also continue to use MRA Navigation, because I think it uses the same map as in the planner.
