Start Bar at bottom of screen.

Just noticed the “Start” Bar at the bottom of the screen.
Nice .Is it too soon to ask for a “Play” button with variable speed options?
-
@Steve-Lynch Looks like a brand new thing, You seem to have missed the new animation button in the menu on the left side
waw, this is GOOOOODDDDDDDDD

Looks like a brand new thing,
Also check out the 3D mapping facility using the small 3d cube icon on the left side of the map. It seems to be an early release for one of the items in 1.6 of the MRA roadmap https://myrouteapp.ac-page.com/roadmap-main-page

The addition of the new animation feature is, in my opinion, one of the best improvements to MRA so far.
I used this function very often with Basecamp in combination with Google Earth.
I think the visibility of the POIs has also changed. These are now visible from zoom level 1km/300ft. -
-
I miss the function "Undo route point". Is the function completely gone or just moved to a different location? Or have I overlooked something?

This is indeed very useful. It will greatly improve checking a new route and will help a lot of people who, for instance, put a waypoint on the "wrong" side of a highway.
I just don't understand that this kind of improvements come in total silent mode. I would have expected a buzz on the forum first, and a mailing to all users with: something new is coming on this date....
Anyway, MRA gives those who claim nothing ever changes here a run for their money
But indeed, it looks like their roadmap planning needs a bit of TLC

The link above is a low res video example of the Animation functionality that I would like to embed in my YouTube video’s showing the full route.
I am therefore requesting MRA’s permission to use this functionality and embed it into my YouTube videos.
I plan not to use the built in MRA generation of the video file as I prefer to just use the iPad screen recording.
The embedded videos would always be in the format shown in this example and would always include url for MyRouteAppHoping this is ok?

@Steve-Lynch Hai Steve,
I can't speak for MRA, of course, but I think this kind of a request should be entered through a support ticket.
The combination of this animated route, and the video feature could be very powerful

@Steve-Lynch Just noticed, that you can pause the playback by tapping on the playback screen and then tap again to resume. Really liking this new feature. At the moment though, you have to stop playback in the Animation tab to make changes. Would be good if the tap area was just the bar and then be allowed to make changes in the route screen. That said, this is just what i need at the moment. Settings in the animation tab are a great start.

Given that only recently I had thought how good it would be to have a means of ‘playing’ a route, as in BaseCamp, I was surprised to notice just that in the route planner… Brilliant!
For a moment, I began to wonder if it had been there all along and I’d missed it! It does seem a bit strange not to have announced this very welcome addition but, hey, I can live with that kind of strange.

Very nice new feature indeed. I like it very much.
What would be extremely nice is to see a km indication while moving the handle. On the bar you can see "Start" and the total disstance of the route, but when you move the handle to the right, you have no indication on the distance/time within the route.
Of course, you see the location on the map, so it is not a big issue. But it would be helpful to plan stops and breaks you usualy take after a certain distance/time. -
@Jack-van-Tilburg It's nice, but.........
In Basecamp/Google Earhe you could pause the animation.
Also it is possible to go back and go faster or slower. That I miss in Animation.
Hope these possibilities comiing soon -
