OSM Routing with MRA
-

As I understand things MRA has its own settings / routing Profile to calculate routes when using OSM as the route calculator
the way the routing profile for OSM in MRA is currently set leads to some very odd (incorrect/poor) routing choices
the above is just one example comparing the OSM site to MRA, very often I notice the OSM route in MRA is just weird / illogicalcan MRA not just use the standard OSM Profile settings?

In your example the OSM route seems pretty logical. Obvious not the shortest. But is it also the quickest?

@M.-Schrijver sorry but no, the example on the left shows the routing as per the OSM web site
this is obviously the fastest route to pass Reims as it stays on the auto routethe example on the right is MRA's version of OSM routing, here the preferences for the OSM routing have been adjusted so that the fastest is not the auto route which is incorrect
MRA has adjusted the routing profile preferences for the OSM routing & they are IMO not optimal adjustments
this is why when you compare the routing for Here, TomTom & OSM you will see that the OSM takes some very strange paths like the example abovemy question was can MRA not just use the standard OSM Profile settings, what benefit is there to the adjusted profile if it gives strange routing ?
