Why don't you just place a Viapoint along the route at a petrol station positioned according to your own fuel range? Add a note and if connected to your sat-nav audio it'll remind you through your headset.

      I second this!

Whenever i plan a tour, i always make sure i have at least 2 petrol stations within the maximum range of my bike with a full tank (my BMW has a 24 liter tank, the Kawasaki has a 15 liter tank).

Or when riding with a group, i plan stops at petrol stations based on the person who has the least amount of petrol in his/her tank.

I fully comprehend your suggestion, but MRA has already features to match your suggestion.

@Bredimus-Marc-0 Nice idea. Using waypoints works too but adds complexity when you for some reason deviate from the route. Also: reusing or sharing such a route adds "noise" as these points then make no sense anymore.

A slightly better solution (better than waypoints) would be if mra had support for audio points. points which play no role in the navigation but which would be spoken if reached. I would have some use for such points, for example to announce a bump in the road or a sharp bend.

Sounds great but..... An audio signal for an bump in the road??? Do you even know how many bumps, potholes, cracks, etc there are in a road??? That basically means an audio signal every 100 meters... And who is going to or must register every bump or pothole in the road and process it on a map or whatever??? The amount of work alone... Not doable 🤔 🤔 🤔

            Same for sharp bends.

Nice wishes but not quit realistic regarding the amount of work alone to get this in a map or as a signal in MR Next. You have to combine 1 signal for 3 maps. And as said, the amount of work registering bumps, potholes, cracks, basd road conditions not only in The Netherlands, but across (basically) the whole world! And when new potholes appears after a winter, or cracks in the road, what will happen then?

In these conditions, the best signal is your own eyes.

@Nomko-Nomden You dont know my use case.
I am sure you can find a use for audio points for your use cases at some point.

Too much audio signals are distracting.

Why using audio signals at sharp bends? why using audio signals for bumps in the road??? Use your F*****G eyes!

There is absolutely no reason to have audio signals for any bumps or potholes in the road, you can see them with your eyes. Same goes for (sharp) bends, you see them.

Riding a motorbike is riding with your eyes and eyesight. Not with audiosignals for any crappy situation. Audio signals for almost every situation is for lazy people who don't want to use their eyes when riding motorbikes.

And what's next??? Audiosignal for bird droppings on the road? Audiosignals for littered trash at the side of the road???

If you really need audio signals to drive carefully, what kind of poor driver are you?

Why don't you just place a Viapoint along the route at a petrol station positioned according to your own fuel range? Add a note and if connected to your sat-nav audio it'll remind you through your headset.

                            @david-rudgley
I do use viapoints when I’m riding with a predefined route.

But when I’m just riding freely without a planned route and only recording a tracklog to see where I’ve been at the end of the day, I can’t really place a viapoint in advance.

That’s why a custom distance‑based reminder would be useful: after a set number of kilometers, the app could notify me to refuel.

I ride motorcycles from the 1930s up to modern bikes, and each one has a different fuel range, so a flexible threshold would help a lot.
