I will be riding in the Lake Garda and Dolomites areas for the last two weeks of May, I don't want to download all of Italy since the full country file is pretty big and I only need maps for the area north of Milan and Venice. Looking at the download menu for Italy, it would take me quite a while to go down the list and figure out which are the few maps I will actually need.

Can anyone with experience riding that area advise me on which map segments I should download? Or, alternatively, is there a reference site that would give me an overview map so I can see for myself which sections I need?

      Thanks,

      Vinnie

@Vincent-Curren general answer: if you have a route you want to be navigated, you need to download maps of all regions, touched by this route, to navigate offline.
In your case - not knowing details of your route(s) - I suggest for your plan about Dolomites and Lake Garda, to download ares of Trentino, Veneto, Lombardia, Emilia Romagna.

It's better to download one region too many. Because It's always annoying when you spontaneously want to visit a city or a pass - but you haven't downloaded the map beforehand and currently have no network reception... 😡

          Nothing is impossible ;-)
