Sound muting on Android Auto
-
Hi, Used Android Auto in my car today. Main problem is that it was not muting the radio during annoucements. I was using the car radio. Android auto is through the Ford SYNC3 system, and I connected from an Android S20. The route was a simple point to point, the navigation and annoucements (although hard to hear) were fine.

think I will try raising a service ticket on this one

Many navigation apps do support the navigation audio channel for Android Auto. If your Android Auto device has de navigation audio channel, the radio/music channel will be muted or lowered in volume in case of a navigation announcement.
But MRA doesn't support the Navigation audio channel properly. It uses the media channel. That's why the radio/music is not or not always muted/lowered in volume.

@Tony-13, My Kuga (Sync3) is also not muting the car audio. That's a Ford thing, not an MRA thing. I kind of like it though. I just set the Navigation audio a bit louder then the music, and that is perfectly fine for me. If you use a music app on your phone, MRA does duck the audio.
