      Hello friends,

Scenario: I use the Gold subscription; plan and email my routes to our club. My question, should the recipients using Next set up their shaping points on their device’s App to allow skip?

If we run into a roadblock or detour. I want them to drive off the shaped route, potentially skip a few shaping points and then get them back on the shaped route. What do you do?

      Thank you,

      Chuck

@MyZ51 That totally depends on how the route is being ridden. Are the club members riding individually or as a group? If riding as a group, you can set whatever you like, but ultimately, the "road captain" (the lead rider) decides how to proceed if there’s an issue along the route.

Additionally, there is an option in the settings called "Skip waypoints automatically." If you're riding solo and want MRA to guide you around the blockage, you can enable this toggle.
Personally, I would take a quick look at the map to get a rough idea of which direction to ride in order to get back near the original route.

@Rob-Verhoeff that’s excellent advice. We go as a large group, each has the option then to follow the Captain, or if they prefer can navigate passed a skipped way point. Is that correct?

@MyZ51 You don't have to follow the instructions! You are still the one who decides whether to follow the suggested detour or not. If you don't, MRA will keep recalculating to reach the next waypoint. Eventually, a waypoint will be skipped, and you will be presented with the route to the next point.

@MyZ51, or you skip a waypoint manually by long-pressing the "next waypoint" tile.
