    Hi all,

⚠ Is there a way to turn off the new Activity feed? Is there a Private option?

Well done on the lock 🔒 screen option was in the rain today and the app was all over the place. Now with the lock I hope it rains tmrw so I can try it out!

However I did notice you can still operate the back, home and recent apps buttons (Android) so these will still be affected by the rain which is where I have most of my problems. Perhaps in the next update?

Also great it locks orientation nice.

Starting at the nearest waypoint is nice too. Though my start point ✋was closer than waypoint 2 but it was going for waypoint 2.

Keep up the good work ✌🏻

    Kind regards 🍻 🇬🇧

@JP-d Glad you enjoyed the lock! 🙂

Determining the nearest point can indeed result in 2 being picked rather than 1 because you are so close to 1 that it should not matter and it's actually preferred to go to 2 😉

Activity feed simply matches your privacy settings!
If tracklogs / routes are set to private, no one will see them (only you).
If set to friends, your friends can see it.
If public, all MRA users can theoretically see it.

According to documentation, a route/tracklog doesn't show in the activity feed just by changing its privacy level - it needs to be published or recommended, too.

If the documentation is outdated and setting the privacy level to friends or public is sufficient, what is the "publish route" button for?

OK - after a closer look, I've figured it out. There are two separate activity feeds, one for the Web version and one for the app, and there are different approaches to getting a route visible for "everyone":

Setting a route to public will force it to show in the app feed - but it also needs to be published to become visible in the web feed.

Maybe I'm the only one who finds that confusing.

@Martin-Wilcke yes, that is confusing. No doubt.
The publishing routes / recommending tracklogs is a bit underrated and forgotten completely.

I’m still away on vacation but make sure to address this and get some alignment done 🙂
