Thank you for the reply @Frank-Scheffler. How is the overall scale on the Carpuride under Android Auto? I have a friend with one, though he uses an iPhone, and he's happy with it.

Testing the Evkey L200 with my partner's iPhone, though only with Google Maps and it looks great. Google Maps under Android Auto is better but you do need to zoom in and the icons, controls and everything else are still too small. That's not the point though, I bought it specifically to use with MRA Navigation Next.

The issue, for me at least, seems to be one of default scale across the board on the L200. Ideally there needs to be a solution from the screen manufacturer, though I doubt very much that'll happen.

In MRA Next are servall settings for zooming and tilting. Sadly these settings do not have much effect in Android Auto. Zooming isn't also very smooth in Android Auto. It is very abrupt and rough.

This is something @Corjan-Meijerink should looking into.

(I use MRA Next only on Android Auto. Every comment, suggestion, etc will be based on my usage with Android Auto)

@Charlie-WIlder @M-Schrijver IMO, zoom function in MRA app, when compared to others (Google, Apple Maps, etc) is quite a bit behind...hopefully it is on the list of improvements.

@M-Schrijver On the AA panel I'm using there appears to be no zooming whatsoever.

AA has a sort of auto zoom based on next crossing. I did not see any function for manual zoom

@M-Schrijver I see that when using Nav Next directly. Via my AA panel, I've tried driving a route in the car, nothing...

@Frank-Scheffler & @RetiredWingMan Thank you, yes omitted to mention that I had found this setting under the Map Layer menu (why are these only available whilst actually navigating a route?) after my first post. I already have Zoom Correction at ++ and Tilt Correction at +. This only makes a minor difference.

The difference between scaling on CarPlay and Android Auto is significant. On CarPlay I'd say it's just right, The panel and the phone seem to negotiate this and get it right. On Android Auto, with maximum Zoom Correction in the Nav Next app applied it's still inadequately small. I'm pretty sure that the screen resolution of the Evkey L200 being 1560x720 doesn't help in this regard.

The L200 has delusions of grandeur, reporting to Android Auto that it's a Rolls Royce... 🙂

@M-Schrijver which Android Auto panel are you using?

I've previously used MRA Nav Next on the infotainment system in my 2017 VW Tiguan, this works well, scale is good.

My only real complaint with my newly purchased panel (the Evkey L200) for my motorcycle is that of screen scaling. This is, I feel, is entirely down to the implementation/configuration of Android Auto on the panel. CarPlay seems to work well in this regard. It's not really an issue with MRA other than the options available to the user in terms of the zoom settings being limited in scope.

In essence the problem is something that the manufacturer of my panel needs to address, I'm really asking for comparison with other models here. However, it's has deepened my understanding of Nav Next and the limited options, in this case, within the configuration menus. Thank you all for your input in this regard.

Unless I can get a response for the manufacturer early this week the panel will be returned for a refund. A warning on buying new tech from the likes of AliExpress...

I use the built-in panel of the Honda Goldwing. Screen resolution is unknown to me.

My phone has a higher screen resolution that my wife's phone. In normal use you won't this difference but in certain things there is a difference. In some apps i have more text on my screen.

It could be possible that the screen solution and screen ratio (with/height) has some effect on how things are projected on the screen.
I've searched for the Evkey L200 and the screen ratio is a bit odd compared to the more traditional squarisch screen ratio.

(I use MRA Next only on Android Auto. Every comment, suggestion, etc will be based on my usage with Android Auto)

yes, it's a bit more landscape than the 16:9 screen of my phone.

Anyway, it's now a moot point for me. No response from the manufacturer or their supposedly UK agent (but with a Chinese TLD on the email address). It's been returned to AliExpress, which as it turns out, is far less painful than I thought with UK hub to send returns to.

Thank you all for your input. I can't recommend the EVKEY L200 for anyone intending to use Android Auto. According to someone I trust from the Ducati forum, as well as trying it briefly with my partner's iPhone, it seems to work well with Apple CarPlay though.
