A to B navigation not working

Yesterday I used Navigation to give me a direct route to a location from my Favourites. All worked as expected until I pressed the yellow arrow after which the map ‘home’ screen appeared with the route shown as a blue line, but with no guidance, speed limit, distance etc. In fact the navigation did not function at all during my journey, the arrow simply tracked my position as it would with the home screen.
I checked this again today and the same thing occurs, also if you enter a destination in the search box. Navigating a pre-prepared route however appears to be functioning correctly.

@David-Bonner, It looks like you started a by foot or bicycle route instead of a car or motor route. There is no turn-by-turn navigation for by foot and bicycle routes. Those just follow the line on the base OSM map.
I am just an enthusiastic MRA user, and hope you will be one too!
Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handlebar to the saddle.
