Carpe Iter integration
-
Hi all!
This is a quick post regarding the integration between MRA & Carpe Iter.
Over the past weeks we've been working on creating a smooth cooperation between MyRoute-app and the Carpe Iter (CI) devices. In update 4.0.7 the CI devices such as the Adventure Controller and BMW Control kit will be added to our app
Thanks to Jan from Carpe Iter to send over some devices for testing.
The best part of the BMW Controller is that you can use the existing Wonder Wheel of your BMW
The BMW unit has been tested on one of our bikes (obviously a BMW) and it works perfectly!
Note: the CI app is required for using the controller, we are in touch with Carpe Iter to see if it can work on iOS. Currently this only works on Android (to our observations)
After following the installation steps of the device itself and selecting the new Carpe Iter BMW Control as input device in the app, everything works immediately.
The following operations are currently supported.
Wonder Wheel
- Up: zoom in / select next menu item
- Down: zoom uit / select previous menu item
- Enter (right): cycle camera / select menu item
- Back: RESERVED FOR CI
Secondary unit
- Right: start route / skip waypoint
- Left: Toggle the ETA information between end of route / next shaping / next via.
- Up: Fit route to map
- Down: Open or close menu
That's it
TLDR;
- Integrated Carpe Iter BMW Controller & Adventure Controller
- Will work perfectly with MyRoute-app as of 4.0.7
- Control the app from your handlebars!

Glad to see the Tiger in the background
I have the Adventure Controller with Hall Sensor Joystick.
I will be setting it up on the bike this weekend.

Really interested in this. Would be great if they can move ahead with the IOS app. I’d be in. When I contacted Carpe Iter about this recently it didn’t seem they were confident of delivering an Apple solution soon. Fingers crossed they’ve got some plans.
