Old man introducing himself...
-
I'm nearly 60 years old.
Did my IBA on a plain CB500. Toured the mountainous part of France and Italy and fell in love with 'mountains'. And cote d'Azure...
Moving on, I upgraded the CB500 to a Blackbird after 80k km of beginners' practice.
Now, touring changed; not worse, not better, just different. Bigger is not better - it's just different.
My focus is 'experience'. Meaning I use cheapest AirBnb for lodging (I'm no 'tenter') to get talking to locals. Surprisingly effective!
Which brings us to the whole planning issue - and thus MyRouteApp.
I started out using Google on a phone - like most people I think.
Next, I upgraded to TomTom's MyDrive planning solution.
Adding Sygic Travel for POIs and general itinerary maintenance.
And finally including MRA for the specifics and distributing routes, collecting tracklogs and 'moments' within those to process and publish into blogs, describing whatever experiences I've had.
The MRA blog is a much overlooked thing, methinks.
By all means visit my blogs, have a look at them and provide feedback. I feed on that to improve the next blogMe? Embedded software developer from Denmark. I like to tinker and learn how things work. Have a look at https://www.martinfiltenborg.dk/mechanicality/ for more info.

Quite a narrow bell curve that excludes:
- youngsters who don't think they need to plan
- oldies who don't ride motorbikes any more
Richtea (who didn't plan to ride motorbikes this long)
