Save As KML with skipped points error

I've created a route that includes ferries. As described, I used the Skip feature on the Waypoints to avoid detouring. The map on the MRA site looks correct, but a saved route (either as KML or GPX) includes a detour without waypoints.! I'm unsure of how to proceed.

@Steven-Farmwald The "skipped" status of waypoints is only used by MRA, it doesn't transfer to other applications.

But, shouldn't an exported Route be correct? (ie, follow my design) I don't think that google maps is doing any modifications.

@Steven-Farmwald A route is just a list of waypoints (GPS coordinates). It is up to each application or device to figure out how to actually get from each point to the next. This depends on its map and algorithm (e.g. Google uses a different map and algorithm than HERE to calculate routes. Note that the Google map overlay in MRA is just that: an overlay. MRA doesn't use Google to actually calculate the route, it uses either OSM, HERE or TomTom). So there is no guarantee that an exported route matches what you planned to begin with. The waypoints will be in the same place, but what the route between those points looks like, is up to the importing application or device.
In addition, MRA provides a feature to "skip" a waypoint (which effectively means route calculation is disabled to that point, i.e. you get a straight line from the previous point). However, this information is not stored when saving the route as GPX or KML (because the GPX and KML file formats don't include that information), so other applications don't know about skipped waypoints at all.
The fact that the other ferries are "correct" doesn't mean the points are skipped, it just means that Google Maps thinks that's the best/fastest way to get to the next point.

@Herko-ter-Horst I'm not sure I follow. The exported file's track contains the coordinates for the "ghost" route. (Verified by text editor.)
I've only loaded the file into both google maps and google earth. They're not re-routing AFAIK.
Another data point: By changing to the Garmin Here map, things work as expected. However, since segments don't apply to Here maps my carefully designed route was changed drastically.

@Steven-Farmwald, it looks to me that you imported the route and not the track into Maps. Like @Herko-ter-Horst pointed out: a navigation app decides it's own best way to get from waypoint to waypoint. I am not even sure Maps can navigate a track. Never tried, and to be honest I see no value in it. You will not only lose skip waypoint information, but also the segment information.
I don't suppose you want to navigate this route using Maps, do yo? If yes, there are many better alternatives (MyRoute-App Navigation being one of them).
