Is a MRA Route Effectively the Same as a BMW Connected Track?
-
I have been asking a number of questions on this forum and I think I have just had a eureka moment. For several years I have been creating MRA routes and exporting them to my Harley Boom Box, using up to 100 waypoints (the Boom Box max) to make every turn on my ride go exactly the way I want it to go. I never think of using tracks, because it was my understanding that a track is somewhere you already went, not somewhere you want to go in the future.
If I understand some of the very helpful responses, when I export a planned MRA route to the Motorrad Connected app, if I use the route option, I am limited to 50 waypoints, but if I use the track option, I use no waypoints and the BMW track will follow the MRA waypoints I created.
Does that make sense? Is a MRA Route effectively the Same as a Motorrad Connected Track?

@Sam-Kramer
You can send your created route as .gpx 1.1 (Route, Track, POI) to the connected app. If you then select the track in the connected app, you will indeed have the same route as you made, only with 2 hard points, start and finish.
