I want to know when I am planning a route and I have define the various waypoints and created the overall route.
How can I split the overall routes in day routes?
For example I have 40 Waypoints and for the first day I only need 10 waypoints?
Is there a fast way how that I can split them ? Or do I have to remove the not needed waypoints, which is a little bit time consuming.
Many thanks in advance for a fast solution!

@René-Zuber It depends whether you have a Gold subscription or not. Features such as "Split route" or "Expand # waypoints" require a Gold subscriptionnas is indicated by the appended "gold" behind the features.

You can find those options in the toolkit!Screenshot_20230621-232509.jpg

@René-Zuber Simply click on that "Split Route" menu entry and a new window pops up with a list of all the waypoints.

Clicking a waypoint marks it as the start of the part of your route you wish to split into a new smaller route.

          I.e:

Clicking 3 waypoints, will create 4 new routes. One from start to waypoint click 1, one from waypoint click 1 to waypoint click 2, one from waypoint click 2 to waypoint click 3 and one from waypoint click 3 to the end.

Note how every way point "marked" by clicking it, is indented in the list.

          Hope that makes sense.😃

See example below. Every waypoint marked with the arrow is a split point. In this example I've split the route into 4 parts by clicking 3 waypoints, which are indented:

After clicking Next you can name the 4 newly created routes:

@StefanHummelink by the way...is it also possible that I take the autoroute for some of the route and the rest smaller streets?

@René-Zuber What you're probably looking for is segments.

Only the OSM map currently supports segments. Using segments we can change route settings for certain parts of the route.

I.e.: WP1 to WP2, use fastest and wp2 to wp3 use most curvy, then wp 3 to WP 4 use fastest.

There are some tutorials on how to use it. It is too much time consuming for me to show it here, but it definitely works a charm.

Note that you probably want to switch back to HERE/TomTom as soon as you've set your "fastest" part of the route, but make sure to EXPAND your route first with enough waypoints so that the segment route setting is replicated by the additional waypoints.

I would advise to finish your route in OSM untill you've made it to your liking for about 80 to 90%, then expand, and then convert to Here or TomTom.

@René-Zuber, Just place your waypoints at a greater distance. At the default navigation settings (quickest) it will take highways if that's quicker.

I am just an enthusiastic MRA user, and hope you will be one too!
