I want to close the route so it begins and ends at the same place.

How do I add the route from WP1 to WP45?

You can drag #45 to very close to #1.
Then add points along that new part of the route to adjust which roads you want to take.

Oh, and it is necessary to first add a point to slightly south to the current #45. #45 will then automatically turn into # 46, then drag the new #46 to close in on #1, rest as above,

        Paul.

@Steve-Crowther, you can directly add a new waypoint to your route on a road you want to drive on. That waypoint will automatically be labeled as #46. Add as many waypoints as necessary for you to complete the route.
It is not necessary to first add an extra point to the existing route and then move the new point #46 to a road you wish to drive on.

Excellent, thanks, that seems to work, but it's a shame it can't be asked to plot a route between two existing waypoints.

I'm changing from Basecamp which allows you to plot between two existing waypoints, I assume that every route I plot now needs a new "Start" from my home to a new "Finish" to my home?

@Steve-Crowther No, you can place a new waypoint between two points also. Move the hand over the routline and wait until it changes in the "shapingpoint" with the + inside. Then click on the line and a new waypoint is placed between two existing shapingpoints.

MRA does plot a route if you follow my method.

I don't really understand what you mean with this. You actually can plot between two existing waypoints. If you place a point in the proximity of point #1 that point wiill automaticly be numbered as #46 and you route will be complete. After that you can pick-up the routeline between points #45 and #46 and drag it to the roads you want to drive on.

@Rob-Verhoeff I think it's the different concept or something. With Basecamp I could choose WP1 as the final end to the route without having to add WP46 so the route would be from WP1 through all the WPs back to WP1

It's not a problem as I've just used your method, different way of doing it is all.

Unless I'm wrong, and I could well be since I've just started using MRA, the WPs as are not saved to be used in new routes, and you cannot click on current WP's on the route to include them two or three times.

I did have WPs in Basecamp at strategic junctions etc. so used them in more than one route and more than once in a route,

@Steve-Crowther, That is called POI's not Waypoints. Waypoints are route specific. POI's can be used in multiple routes.

That is not possible in MRA. #1 is start and #x is finish of end...
