Satellite view not able to go to direction view
-
When using the satellite map layer. It is impossible to switch to driving direction view or re-center
-
@EdwinM-M correct, this is by design. The satellite map is 2D. Using a dynamic camera results in very weird views
-
@Corjan-Meijerink i mean: simply seeing the direction you are going, 2d is fine. But i couldn't get it to show where I am going.
-
@Corjan-Meijerink If I’m correct: you can use many different types of maps to make the route (HERE, TomTom, Michelin, Google) including satellite maps (Google, Here), but when navigating on the smartphone always the HERE map is used.
It would be very much appreciated if more Maps were available during navigation.
(Probably you are working on that)
-
@Dikke-Wim my issue only covers the Satelite overlay map. Nothing to do with calculation.
-
@Dikke-Wim nopes, not working on that. Navigation is HERE only. We might add different map styles later (now only light / dark & satellite)
-
@Dikke-Wim, this is a comment that gets made every now and then, mostly by newcomers (no offence) that have missed the reasoning behind it. The navigation app makes deeply use of functions and features that are delivered by HERE and their software development kit. It is not intermixable with maps from other sources. The choice of maps in the planner is largely meant to make possible to compare between different map sources, and make them equal. Developing a navigation app that makes use of OpenStreet maps or TomTom maps would account for a completely separate app, based on other SDK's.
