For Gold members how does downloading routes to Google work? I use Google to share routes, but am not sure how it would handle the route if you have more then 10 waypoints.
Am trying to figure out if it is worth paying for.

        @Tim-Rice

That is a Google maps function.

Download the route file on your desktop or laptop. ...
        Open Google Maps. ...
Search for your cards through the hamburger menu. ...
        Make a map. ...
        Import route file. ...
View the route and adjust if necessary. ...
        Save the folder.

Can you show us where you see this feature listed?

The "Google Map" in the Gold package is for having Google Map as a layer to plan on, not to export to Google Maps.

You don't use Google Maps to actually navigate a custom route. Before anyone mentions Google MyMaps, yes, I know about it, but it doesn't really work for navigation.

This looks useful, I did not realise you could get a route into Google maps.
But I don't understand the instructions, are there more complete instructions somewhere?
What format route do you use?
In the Google maps menu I can't find "your cards". What does this mean?
              thanks
              Tony

I don't have an English version of Maps so this is an interpretation of my Dutch screens.
"Your cards" can be found behind the hamburger menu under the menu item "My places". Then choose "Maps" and at the bottom of the list choose "Make a map".
Import route file in format CSV, XLSX, KML or GPX.
I have saved a number of files myself, but never navigated in this way.

@Tony-13 I think it's supposed to be MyMaps. And it's (strangely enough) not part of the regular Google Maps, you have to go to https://mymaps.google.com/ and log in to use it. You can import GPX files into it (like those exported from MRA Routeplanner).

                    OK, found it
                    from normal Google maps
                    hamburger menu
                    Your places
maps - on a tab heading
                    "open my maps"
                    "create a new map"
                    import

I am logged into a Google account, don't know if that makes a difference
The route has come up a bit odd, but I can play with that. Some of my friends don't have MyRoute (shock, horror) so can be useful

It's not really that useful. Just give your friends a GPX file and have them use a proper app to run it.
