Highway / Motorway junction numbers
-
Is it available now or planned to display the highway/motorway exit numbers along with the directions arrow and text?
I find this junction number a great help to be aware of the exact exit junction. Photo of current Beta view and how Google maps handles this. My Garmin XT also displays this informationMRA Next beta example not showing exit number
In this Google maps example the boxed arrow and 32 before M18 is the junction/ exit identification

@Mark-Hamilton-0 Good suggestion. I seldom use motorways but when I do, I use a pink route point and I add the exit number to the name and note. This will appear when using Next in the information box at the top of the screen.

@Mark-Hamilton-0 Exit numbers are definitely shown by the app! Why in this specific scenario it isn’t shown, no clue Maybe it isn’t a true ‘exit’?
Whenever I am driving with the app and I need to take an exit, the app displays “take exit 6” and below that “heading Zoetermeer” for example.

@Corjan-Meijerink Perhaps I need to use more motorways

@Corjan-Meijerink is that message close to the exit or in advance? I never saw that. I will check other junctions but in my view it would be helpful if it was shown for the next exit regardless of distance from the exit. The 2 images, on my initial post, were taken at the same time and Google maps displays the exit number but Next didn’t.
Yes it is a true exit - Leaving the M1 motorway and taking the M18. Image below

@Nick-Carthew Thanks Nick that’s helpful, that would be a work around for planned routes if the Application doesn’t identify the exit number. Wouldn’t work for an A-B nav on the fly though as I would just be adding the end destination and no shaping or other waypoints.
Like you I avoid motorways when I can. No fun on a bike

I will investigate!
