No spoken instructions

Hi. Created a scenic route yesterday. The route performed perfectly but it would not give me spoken instructions. Volume was at full and all toggles for sound were turned on. This is on my 2021 Motorola Moto g stylus 5G Android phone using Android 12 with the latest updates installed. Tried all different layers, rebooting my phone several times and reloading the route numerous times. Tried the route at every setting from straight and flat to twistiest and highest. Could not get sound. Thanks.

This behaviour repeated today on my iphone: only with speakers and no using bluetooth, no spoken directions on loudspeakers.
I start to hear them when I connected a bluethoot headset to my phone.
I'll try again to repeat this behavior.

Same here; I also get no spoken instructions on iphone12 whilst Voice Prompts is enabled. What do I do wrong?

The app should ignore the "silent mode" setting but maybe that is causing the issue. Check if the slider on your iPhone is not in silent and repeat again
For Android, there isn't a slider as on the iPhone but I would recommend checking the individual volume settings.
For all platforms: the default audio output is used (configuring this will be a future update). This means that if no devices are connected, sound is played over speakers. Otherwise a bluetooth or physical device will be used to play the sound on.

@Corjan-Meijerink Thanks Corjan for your response; I have all iphone 12 sound controls enabled. Mute Switch on side is enabled as well as the volume slider is set to max but still no voice prompts. In the original Navigation app by myroute voice prompts work fine on my iphone…………

@Andre-Muller Corjan, quick update; I reset my iPhone and now it works. I now get a slow male voice

@Corjan-Meijerink Unfortunately the voice prompts only worked once on my iPhone 12 Pro after reset. Since today again silence, even after another reset. There is definately something wrong with voice prompts / audio warnings on an iPhone 12 Pro

@Corjan-Meijerink Also in the latest version I have no spoken instructions or warnings. Just to clarify, I have so far used the app to navigate from A to B using Here map. During navigation I see the same issues as what others quote on this forum, but am I the only one that gets no spoken instructions or audio warnings? In the old Navigation app this works just fine for me, but in the new app I only get silence………and yes I have toggled the switches under settings

ich habe ein iPhone Xr, das Thema Ansage hat mich auch schon mehrmals etwas beschäftigt. Da ich eigentlich das Handy immer auf "Stumm = kein Klingelton" stehen habe geht man davon aus das eine App MRA Navigation Next App, die navigieren soll den Lautsprecher automatisch normal nutzt oder Bluetooth und gekoppelte Geräte verwendet, aber das scheint wohl nicht so zu sein.Also: Mal versuchen das Telefon nicht auf "Stumm = kein Klingelton" zu stellen und dann mal das Routing starten und versuchen....., hier lag bei mir der Hase im Pfeffer vergraben.

I have an iPhone Xr, the topic of announcements has occupied me several times. Since I actually always have the cell phone set to "mute = no ringtone", one assumes that an app MRA Navigation Next App that is supposed to navigate automatically uses the speaker normally or uses Bluetooth and paired devices, but that doesn't seem to be the case .So: Let's try not to set the phone to "mute = no ringtone" and then start the routing and try....., here was the rub in my pepper.

@Corjan-Meijerink Today I ‘solved’ the issue. When I switch bluetooth completely off on my iPhone 12 Pro, voice instructions and audio warnings work fine in the new app. As soon as I switch bluetooth on, but according to my iPhone NOT connected to any device, the audio stops working. The same test with the old Navigation app does not give this problem and voice instructions continue irrespective of whether bluetooth is switched on or off. Hope this helps looking for the solution……….
