How to start navigation in the Beta?
-
Ok, maybe I'm stupid / not enough coffee yet, but how do I actually navigate with the beta? If I open a route from my library I don't see any option to navigate. Just start tracklog
-
@Meirion-Towell just to check really quick: did you follow the instructions to get either the Android or IOS Beta?
-
@Timo-Martosatiman-MRA
FYI, this might be related:I signed up for the Android beta according to the guidelines.
I uninstalled MyRoute-App and re-installed it from the play store. At this point the app in the play store is called: 'MyRoute-app Mobile (Beta)'
I do no see any option to start Navigation.
The version display in the app is 3.3.3 - 138 -
@Timo-Martosatiman-MRA I did I have the beta installed. Got the update after I signed up and the play store shows me the beta version installed
-
@Hans-Kremers Sorry, that was a typo, the version is 3.2.3 138
-
@Hans-Kremers I think this is still the previous beta version, dated 23 November? Think we have to wait for the play store to offer us an updated beta
-
@Meirion-Towell having selected the route instead of tapping the 'Open Route' button tap the triangle button on the right (iOS)
-
@Christopher-M-Kelly the triangle button for me just opens the route animation

Thanks for responding here. To clear things up: the app on iOS and Android are the same but enrolling in the test process is not the same at all. The iOS users are able to use TestFlight (separate from the App Store) but for all Android users the test version replaces the non-test version from the Play Store.
The Beta version is 3.2.4 (143) for all platforms.
Therefore, if you enrolled in the Android test program please do give Google some time to process this. Once you signed up here: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.cloudmax.myrouteapp you should have seen a confirmation message and a message stating: "Note: it can take a while for you to receive the update".
Please do give it some time to be processed

@Corjan-Meijerink thanks for the version number information. Bit confusing when Google gives you a beta version this morning but it's the older one . I'll wait for 3.2.4.
Maybe lock / close this thread as it's not relevant now?
-
@Meirion-Towell mine has four buttons in order from left to right; edit, download, animate and navigate. The navigation button is a vertical white triangle
-
@Meirion-Towell looks like I have the same issue. I just updated the app and in the Playstore it says Beta, but on the App itself is indicates 3.2.3 -138..... I'd expect to see the "word" beta somewhere with the version number - I'll look into it this evening again.
for the record I am using a Samsung S20FE registered in Switzerland -
I'm going to lock this thread to prevent further confusion.
