Route resets to beginning when nav app device turned off
-
I have the nav app installed on an Android head unit and this works very well.
However it has one really annoying behavior.
When the ignition is turned off, and back on, the app remembers the route in use and continues navigating it. However it always defaults back to the beginning and trys to go back to the first waypoint.
Is this the expected behaviour and is there a way to make it continue where it left off?

@mark-jones-0, I have been complaining about this behaviour some time ago on this forum too. The setting to start at the closest waypoint does not "stick", not even after loading a new route. I hope this will be addresses in next years new version.
I am curious about the Android head-unit you are using! Can you tell us something about that?
Thanks! -
@mark-jones-0 I use MRA Navigation on my iPhone and what I do if I stop for any length of time is pause the navigation and it always starts off from where it was paused from. Maybe try pausing the app on your Android phone when you stop.

@nick-carthew how do you pause the navigation app?
Peter

@mopetenpit My mistake, I always use the tracking when navigating, it is the tracking that I pause.

@nick-carthew
OK, I thought I had overlooked a new feature -

OK, I thought I had overlooked a new featureI think you have, it's a button next to skip waypoint. Pause

Thanks! It's made by Joying, let's you run all Android apps on the headunit and has digital out to connect to the gap on my car audio install

Couldn’t you use the Skip function when you turn the Android Head back on?
-
@steve-lynch that's what I'm doing, but requires you to remember exactly what waypoint your at and potentially skip a lot of them. It works but it's a band aid that I'm not sure should be necessary

Fair point!

Oh, I know Joying indeed, but I falsely assumed you were talking about a motorcycle head-unit
