Small suggestion: ferry option for the waypoint menu
-
I think it would be quite useful to have the option to indicate a ferry crossing on a route. In my opinion, it matches well with the existing options, such as the ability to add a pause indicating the expected duration of the wait for the ferry crossing.

Hi Herko, thanks for the feedback, I'll pass it on to the development team, I think it's already on the list.

Thanks Hans!

This already seems to work for me?

@Steve-Lynch I think that @Herko-ter-Horst meant the addition of a ferry icon to those already in the pause list would be useful. The times estimated for ferry crossings are not always accurate. For instance, if you take the night ferry from Plymouth to Roscoff the sailing time is a little over 11 hours and day sailings are 5 1/2 hours as can be seen in my screenshot.

The duration of the ferry crossing is indeed included in the route calculation itself, but even if that's accurate, I don't think that includes any waiting time you are likely to encounter (especially for ferries that don't sail to a specific schedule, but just go up and down as fast possible, but also for larger ferries where you have to check in a certain amount of time before departure), which you may want to take into account when planning a route.
So basically, like Nick said, all I'm looking for is a ferry icon (like the existing Food or Fuel icons) to put on a waypoint, the rest of the functionality already exists.

Doh! My bad.
