Niet alleen TomTom heeft dat onder de knie. Ook MRA heeft dat uitstekend onder de knie. @Bas-Pors said in Herberekenen: automatisch routepunten overslaan(beta) werkt soms maar meestal niet De term beta in deze context verraadt dat het om de oude Navigation app gaat. Ik adviseer om over te stappen naar de nieuw app, de oude gaat ergen in jullie stoppen met functioneren, omdat HERE de stekker uit het platform haalt. Wat mij betreft komt er helemaal géén optie om herberekenen uit te zetten, dat is namelijk nergens voor nodig als het terugkeren naar de route goed werkt. Met een goed uitgezette route werkt dat prima in MRA. Het mooie van de nieuwe app is dat de originele routelijn in een witte kleur zichtbasr wordt als je van de route afwijkt. De app stelt an een alternatief voor, maar je kunt dat ook negeren en zelf naar de route terug rijden zoals je gewend bent van je zumo.

Yes, screenshot is old, and I am up-to-date, just used to show it. I am ok if the idea does not resonate.

@richtea999 I see! The main reason for you to go through routelab is to edit or modify routes, and that is one of the sole cases where routelab is still required per today. If we get a native editor in the app, routelab becomes quite useless since all features can be embedded into the app. Thanks for your clarification and have a safe but joyful trip!

@Daryl-Saunders, No there is no route-less navigation in the app, currently. You can however press the compass, the map will stay centered to the flyer. Tracking is totally possible this way. You are not the first one asking for free-driving navigation. It is already on the Dev teams list.

@Corjan-Meijerink Corjan, many thanks. I now understand it. I agree that an alteration to a more aggressive skipping of waypoints on the highway would be beneficial. I had the advantage as I was in a car, riding as a passenger. I was therefore able to watch the display on the phone, whilst the car drove up the motorway. I knew that it would make no sense to leave the motorway, drive back down the other carriage way and rejoin. I just couldn’t understand why the app would tell me to. As I was a passenger in a car, it was easy to ignore the app’s instructions. On a motorbike, on unfamiliar roads (even a motorway) it might not be so easy, especially if the user of the app was following the instructions blindly. That is why I agree with you, about making the algorithm more aggressive on highways would be a good idea. Your explanation answers my question. Thank you. Richard

@marc-van-der-heijden Dan vermoed ik dat de turn-by-turn navigatie met gesproken instructies daar vandaan kwam. Aan MRA Navigation wordt al een tijdje niet meer ontwikkeld. Sinds vandaag is die functionaliteit (en meer) onderdeel van de app met de naam "MyRoute-app" (voorheen: "MyRoute-app Mobile").
