Two new Cotswolds routes
-
I've been exploring the north Cotswolds in my Morgan Plus Four and thought others would be interested in two lovely country drives. Each is a varied loop through villages, fast country roads and single-lane back roads, mostly avoiding the main tourist bottlenecks and completely avoiding the tedious A40. Start/end point is Oxford although of course you can start from wherever you like.
And for some spirited driving, both include the Charlbury-Burford "TT route", used by Youtuber Harry's Garage to test supercars. If you are lucky enough to get a day with no traffic, it's one of the best driving roads in southern England.

Brunch (or afternoon tea!) at Bruern Farms, a lovely small cafe with local produce and cheery service; or lunch at the Double Red Duke in Clanfield. Then back over the very unusual 5p toll bridge at Swinford.

Pop out via Stow-on-the-Wold to get a pint of fabulous rich, fresh milk, from Fir Farm (their little self-service hut also has some great meat direct from the farm). Then on through beautiful Lower Slaughter, past the River Windrush and the Burford-Charbury "TT route".

I've not put photos on these routes, but if one of the RouteXperts thinks these are worthy of the general library I can do so next time I'm out there. And I can make more from further explorations if this of interest.

Nice route, Mouse. However, both are the same! You might want to correct one of the links.

ah - whoops. It won’t let me edit it now. The first of the two routes is here:
