Issue: Round trip u-turns
-
I thought this issue was fixed?Just using roundtrip on the webapp and its adding u-turns!

-

Sometimes it cannot be avoided

-
We did almost entirely rule it out but as @Con-Hennekens showed, this one makes sense.
That said, it can still happen but way less frequently than before.

Thanks for image ! Ha! Fair enough!
That said , the smarter route would have avoided the U-turn requirement ie taken a left at the roundabout , then first right . -

I tried planning a route with 2 points at similar locations to the start & end on your picture
it did not take the same route as the round trip & avoided the u-turn

If I am not wrong, I think HERE is not taken to generate a scenic route. (like you did)

@Jörgen I also tried Openstreet & TomTom routing, they also did not take the fork to the scenic u-turn

so I think my question is stil the one to ask "why did the round trip choose to turn this way?" -
To provide another curve
