All waypoints temporarily invisible - intermittent - Mac Safari

When editing routes in Mac Safari, sometimes all the waypoints will suddenly disappear. The base map and route remain visible - it's just all the markers for waypoints. If I zoom in and out, the waypoints appear for a moment then disappear immediately.

I have not found a specific event that causes it but it's happened a dozen times.

Refreshing the window, or closing the browser and starting again, fixes the issue until next time.

Just tried it out.
My Safari Version 18.5 (20621.2.5.11.8) and macOS 15.5 (24F74) on Retina 5K, 27", 2020 does not show this issue.
