Open a local file with a web application

A friend of mine wants to get rid of local GPX-files being opened with Basecamp.
You can choose to open it with another locally installed program on your computer with the properties of this file.

Is there a way to import and open this GPX-file in myrouteapp ?

And in case you don'want to import it in MRA, there is a very good online viewer called GPS Visualizer which can do the trick.

Or you can import your route in Google Maps
