Exported MRA route does not include layover times
-
So I turned a friend onto MyRoute-app for him to checkout and see how he likes it, so he's using the free version right now.
He created a route with shaping points and via points, along with layover times for the via points. He exported the route as a GPX v1.1 file. After sending me the exported route, I brought it into MRA and noticed everything came through except for the layover times at the via points. He also imported the exported route he sent me, and the layover times he created in the initial route were also not there. Is this a limitation of the free version, or is a different export option needed to keep the layover times intact in the exported GPX file? Thanks!

@Ron-Z GPX files don't support any of the MRA features such as layover times.
He should share the route with you. If you are friends and the route is at least visible to friends then you can access it.

Perhaps this could be an enhancement to MRA? GPX files exported out of BaseCamp will retain layover info.

@Ron-Z, I don't think it is wise to generate non-conform GPX files like Garmin does. Between MRA users there is no necessity to export to GPX, just share your route with friends, public, or create an event.

@Ron-Z To share routes between MRA users, there are better options than exporting and importing via GPX (or whatever format). If you add each other as friends within MRA, you can set the visibility of the route (and any containing folders) to "Friends" and you'll be able to view and "use" (i.e. copy) the route, including layover times and all other MRA-specific features, from within MRA itself. You can also create Groups or Events in MRA and share routes (with all features) that way.
