Search for cities in Japan show up in Japanese.

I am creating a trip through Japan, but when I enter or search for cities in Japan, they only show up in Japanese while my language is set to English.

So can't use it to plan my trip through Japan, very disappointed!

@Willem-Jonker, I think I have heard something similar here on the forum before. Do overlay maps also show non-English names?

Since HERE maps don't show the japanese signs. Openstreetmap does.

Hi. Yes I am a gold member and even when I select a map with both English and Japanese writing, the search only displays results in Japanese not English.

Funny. Try switching between TomTom and HERE. As I wrote: OSM shows Japanese language. The other two not.
Then test the overlay maps again. Michelin and rest works good here.

@No6671 I think @Willem-Jonker is refering to the top left searchfield. In that field the text is only in Japanese despite al the other maps and overlays:

@Willem-Jonker maybe a little trick. you look in google maps were you want to go and click on spot you get location gps number/code. copy that and paste it in your route and you get your point in MRA.
