Finding waypoints after N km

I am considering purchasing the Gold edition but have a question before I do that. I am looking for a way to locate the closest point on a route that is N kms away from a selected point (and to the repeat that as needed for M roughly equal segments of N km in length each).
I have a full route planned out but what I would like to do is reset the waypoints so that I can stop every N km for gas refill up. Is there any feature that would help with that in the Gold edition?

@Chris-Peltz l simply use the waypoint list to find a waypoint at the approx distance I need (or time for breaks) and then look for a gas station or someplace to take a break. I will normally add a viapoint for breaks.
