Getting static in place of voice instructions

I downloaded the new app and headed off to do some testing. About e minutes out I started getting load static blasts from my phone/headset. It took some time to finally figure out that it was every time I was supposed to hear a navigation instruction. I checked to make sure the phone and Cardo Bluetooth were ok by playing some music. It works fine. If I turn off voice prompts the sound stops. I pulled over and switched to my primary phone, loaded the route and headed off. Works just fine. I cleared cache and data and reinstalled the app. Still does the same thing. Any ideas? the phone is Samsung S7 Android version 8.0.0. My primary phone is Samsung S20 5G Android version 13.

@Corjan-Meijerink only on the older phone. Seems like corruption of the voice file or something? No idea what to try next.

@Doug-Robinson Given the fact it's an S7 with Android 8, I'm fairly sure that we won't be able to do a lot about it

However, we aim to work on voice configuration and improvements over the coming weeks so that might resolve the issue eventually (although I have little hope)

too bad, I use an older phone to do navigation saving my good phone. I started this when I realised that the navigation screen was getting burnt into my S7 phone display. Perhaps the upcoming voice changes will fix it. -
I tried the old Navigation app and the voice prompts work fine. The issue is with the new Mobile app.
