Unable to use MRA Next for navigation on iOS CarPlay

Hi all, I did look through some of the threads to see if this has been covered but didn't find anything specific.
I'm using the latest TestFlight version of MRA Next on my iPhone 14 Pro Max and had almost no issues with it mounted to the bike on a QuadLock recently on a 5 day trip to Scotland but I've tried using it on CarPlay and found it almost unusable.
Most of the time the map display shows with blocks/artefacts covering things and makes it difficult to see, also if I select a route and tell it to start it doesn't respond, at all. If I load the route and start it on my phone first it sometimes works but occasionally the whole app crashes.
So far on CarPlay I've not managed to get it to work consistently. I should mention I am running iOS 16.5 Beta.
