I am playing with the some routes and I have created a new one, added some other routes and want to save it in the app. I can see how to save it to my computer, export it etc, but not save it in the app. I have had a look at the help topic and it does not show how to do this. Only way I can see if doing it is to save on my computer and then upload it back into the app. I am assuming I am missing something?

    Cheers Dave W

@D-A-Wakefield, this is really hard to understand, so I will make some assumptions, correct me if I am wrong.

You are using the (web)App on your computer. Let's not call that App because it makes people think you are using the Android/IOS app. Let's call it Webapp, or "in the browser", or "on my computer"

If you create a new route in the correct way, it should autosave without further action. There is no Save button anywhere.

From the homescreen press "New Route"
    8bbb03c3-4b11-4b24-9e1a-d345d74c4831-image.png

A popup pops up πŸ˜‰ asking for route name etc. After pressing OK you enter the planner and all changes you make are stored immediately without any need to "save" (that's oldskool πŸ˜‰ )

If you use the roundtrip generator, after pressing Next the same thing happens as before. A name is suggested, you can rename it if you want, and when you press "Use this route" (or similar), that route immediately is stored in your personal library (simply named "Routes").

I am just an enthusiastic MRA user, and hope you will be one too!

When you have added a route, don't forget to click the + to merge the routes:

Maybe you can take a look at the Support section for more information

@Jack-van-Tilburg Thanks, that was the bit I was missing. I assumed there was a save button somewhere.

@Con-Hennekens Even in the browser it is called MyRoute-app, so that is what I called it πŸ™‚
But problem solved, I had not clicked the + link to merge them

Some time ago we also had a 'discussion' about the name to be used for the various types of MRA.
We then decided to preferably use the following titles on the forum:
          MRA Route Planner
          MR Mobile app
          MRA Navigation app
(nothing has been decided yet for Next)

            hi all,

I am an experienced user of MRA although I learn new things all the time.

I also think it does become very confusing, MYROUTE app, my route navigation app, my route navigation next app, my route planner app or whatever other configuration of words people use to explain their query.

it is very easy for readers to not quite understand the meaning in a post, some might write "as OP above" I have been using MRA app to plan a route, some may think they are using the mobile app, but in fact are using the web based app on a browser. even this is confusing when I am attempting to explain.
generally when people are talking about an app, it is usually on a phone or tablet, but even this is confusing, as you can still use the My Route-app on a phone/tablet browser to plan routes and My route app navigation/next to follow a preplanned route. Jeeeez I'm still confused.
it's the word app that causes the confusion.
when the whole testing is done, perhaps a renaming may be in order.
anyway just a thought, or am I the only one

Consider Myroute-App to be the name of the company. I understand the confusion, but it is really not a big deal if people just mention what they use. An app in a browser is a webapp. It's not the name MyRoute-App that's causing the confusion, it's what people say (or not say) after that πŸ˜‰

@Con-Hennekens Of course people can make clear what they are actually using, but having "app" in the company/product name does add a lot the confusion.

Most people will associate 'app' with an app on a mobile device, not a web app (they'll just call that a 'website'), and certainly not a company.

Saying "MyRoute-app Mobile app" or "MyRoute-app web app", is still confusing because of the double "app".

People may not be aware of the full portfolio of (web) apps available under the MyRoute-app name.

There is a small group of users who are most active in support here on the forum.
If they use the common name together, that will provide enough clarity. And just let the average user ask questions uninhibited and in their own words. πŸ™‚

@Jack-van-Tilburg May I suggest then, when you post a new topic there is a menu that you have to select that as to which one of the MRA applications the poster is referring too?

Of course I don't know what others think about this. But for me it is not necessary.
Many users already find it difficult to describe their problem and some are not even aware that a distinction can be made between the various MRA applications.
Hence my comment "just let the average user ask questions uninhibited and in their own words".
