New Beta! (v3.2.9)
-
With the latest version, I noticed, much less voice commands.
Much less than before, however, a little too less for my feeling. Ok, I know that everyone feels differently, and it is difficult to find the right way. -
@Jörgen funny, this hasn’t been changed at all
-
-
Still having a lot of random crashes. I can't pinpoint what causes them.
Offline Maps:
There is no indicator if you already have a map downloaded, or while it's downloading maps, there is no indicator of WHAT it's downloading or even IF it's downloading. I go to Offline Maps, select USA, and clicking on anything just shows a spinning circle...where is the progress? Where is the indicator whether you have downloaded anything or not?General app issue:
Occasionally when I click on the hamburger menu from main page, select my "account avatar" at the top right, it prompts me to log in again. If I close out, and reopen, it will show I am already logged in. -
@Matt-Flaming, all maps that are downloaded show the "X" in the list, instead of the download arrow. But the overview of downloaded maps like Navigation has, is missing indeed.
-
@Corjan-Meijerink I can't believe that?
I drove the same route with a former version and I get noticed by voise command about a roundabout 6-7km in advance and min. 4 times before.
And now only 2 times. Anyway much better. -
@Jörgen yet, it’s true hahah
-
@Matt-Flaming we made some UI improvements in the upcoming update. For now, the "x" indicates it can be removed, which is only possible when it has been downloaded.
The spinning circle means it’s still starting the download or below 1% progress. It should start indicating it’s progress as in my original screenshots. If it seems stuck, try rebooting the app. If you are prompted with an available map update, do that first
The Android crashes is something we are working on!
Regarding the profile issue, I’ll check that.

Then nothing is downloading for me, as I don't have an X next to anything in my list of states in the USA.
-
@Matt-Flaming if you downloaded the entire USA, the state will probably be reflected in the top right corner (when viewing the USA). Feel free to share a screenshot!

After trying for a couple of days now, it looks like it MIGHT be downloading the USA. I have 2 devices trying to download now. I've been trying this since the release of this beta, and it never has done anything but spin the circle (3 different WiFi connections and 5G). I have NO indication of download speed, or how long it estimates to take. And without an ongoing notification in Android, it will just fail silently if I navigate away from the screen or try to use another app while it's downloading (I do have battery optimizations turned off).
-
@Matt-Flaming I’ll give it a go to! Let me know if it gets downloaded. It should resume in the background if the app isn’t killed.
-
@Matt-Flaming, you download the US as a whole, the X is ONLY at the top and you cannot delete individual states. At least, that's how it looks now. So if you want a few individual states, you will need to download those seperately.
Your comment on the absence of a download indicator, or progress status is of course very valid.

My problem was that I tried downloading the entire USA, and it didn't finish downloading in the background. So every time I opened the offline maps page, the X was there with a spinning circle and no way to determine what was going on.
The lack of detail on that page makes it pretty confusing.
I think I have the USA downloaded now. I'll find out as soon as I get a chance to actually use the app rather than playing around with it at home and commutes back and forth to work.
-
@Matt-Flaming agree, more details will be added.
Please note that offline routing doesn’t work yet. -
@Corjan-Meijerink Thanks
-
I tested the v3.2.9 today again for the 3rd time. Everything was perfect. No more crashes for me, at least for now.
About downloading offline maps, indeed there is no progress indication if you download a full region, example Europe or France. You just have the X, if you press it early you will notice some were downloaded, some weren't.
If you download items individually, then you have a progress circle.
-
Today I had my fist app crash. Select route and then directly navigate - crash. Tried to repeat it, but without success, that was an one timer. I know these bugs are the most difficult to catch.

@Vlad-Popovici-0 Thanks for sharing. Stability is improving but not quite there yet

Top, de offline kaarten staan op mijn Hoeawaai
