Total Novice with Tracks (Next Beta 3.2.7)

I am a total novice with Tracks!
Here’s how I’d imagined how it could work.
Using the Tom Tom Curvey Windy route options I create a route.
Export and then Import to Route-Track In Planner.
However as you can see below in Next Beta 3.2.7 the Route-Track is there but it is taking its own route from my location to the Destination.
Any help from the Track Gurus would be greatly appreciated.
