Suggestion - layout and orientation
-
Great improvement with the new Next navigation. A much nicer and more "modern" feel to the layout. Very easy to follow.
So far I've only been able to use in the car on my commute due to the poor weather in the UK. Hopefully, I'll be able to test on the bike over the upcoming holidays...-
Button sizing
I really like the ease of long press to skip way points. This is simple in the car, but may be trickier on the bike with gloves. Maybe slightly larger buttons would be a good idea. -
Screen Orientation Locking
One thing I have noticed so far is the option to lock the screen orientation during navigation is not present. In the old navigation app this was essential on the bike to prevent landscape view flipping upside down. -
Inconsistent branding
Will there be plans to freshen up the look of the MyRoute-app mobile? Even though navigation is now accessed through the mobile app, it feels like they are two completely different product's. -
Navigation app doesn't stop screen timeout
I've also experienced a few issues where the screen has gone to sleep during navigation. It's probably happened 3 out of 10 trials. -
Location on screen not always accurate
I've also noticed a delay in navigating around junctions and roundabouts. The screen lags behind the true position which means I can't rely on it to quickly glance and check the correct exit on roundabouts. A minor issue but the old navigation didn't have this lag.
While mentioning junctions, I really like the auto zoom in/out feature.
Great job. Keep up the good work.

@Matthew-Wiacek Thanks for your feedback! Much appreciated
1: This might be changed based on community feedback. Let's wait for the actual motorcycle experience. When I ride my bike, I must admit that I will always stop the bike to do anything on the screen. When standing still with winter gloves on, I believe the button is the right size.
2: Love the suggestion! We will do this for a future update.
3: Totally agree. We do use the same colours in both screens and the map overlay buttons are identical. That said....they do feel different Not really something that will be changed in the near future.
4: Could you please check if you are using version 3.2.5? We made quite some improvements in the last update to prevent this issue.
5: Also mentioned by quite some other users, we are actively investigating
Thanks for all the feedback and kind words!

Regarding 4), I am running 3.2.5.
As I mentioned, it wasn't happening all the time. It may have stopped since I did the update on 16th Dec. I'll keep an eye on it. -
@Matthew-Wiacek That would be great! We are pretty certain that we fixed the issue permanently. Please do let us know if it occurs again

I would also like to emphasize the need for this! Forgot about it in my own feedback but this one is utmost critical.
