New MRA Mobile Update 3.2.2
-
Version 3.2.2 out now
A month after our last update, we are proud to present the following update of MyRoute-app Mobile. This update was previously discussed in the webinar last week (check out our youtube channel if you want to see it) and is mainly focused on increasing the user interaction with the app.
What are the relevant changes in this version?
- Open GPX files with MyRoute-app Mobile
- MyRoute-app URL's can be opened with the app (only applies to shared routes & tracks)
- Improved upload queue handling
- Enhancements for offline storage: save files and routes / tracks in the app
- Better stability of saving tracklogs / photo's over poor internet connections
- Prettier UX when using changing map layers / generating routes
About the first one: opening GPX files.
It is now possible to open a GPX file with the Mobile app!Select any GPX file containing a route or track and open this with the Mobile app to show it on the map. The route / track is instantly available for offline use and on import you are asked if you also want to copy the file into the app for easy export. Please check out this video for a nice demo: https://youtu.be/blrm8AT3aDo
Another nice change is that if you click on MyRoute-app URL of a route, track or RouteXpert library item, it is now opened in the Mobile app!
By doing this we allow you to interact even more with our app. This has all been done with the development of Navigation Next in mind. Imagine all these features but now with turn-by-turn instructions
- Imported a GPX? Instantly start navigating that route.
- Clicked on a shared route of a friend? Ride away my man
Some other cool improvement is that the upload queue has been massively improved. Nobody wants to loose their tracklog ever. That is why we made sure the stability of uploading is better. Also, when you uploaded a track, you can now instantly view it. When clicking on a item in the upload queue screen (see account info page) you will now be automatically taken to that tracklog too
We also improved some user experience when generating a route or changing map layers, the map now adjust you position relative to the other content. This ensures that your current position / opened route is always visible.
I would like to wrap up this small update message with a personal note that I really enjoyed participating in the webinar and keeping you all in the loop with our development process. This update has been quite some hard work in the end resulting in some short nights . It will have all been worth it if you enjoy it.
Thanks once again for being an awesome community. Together we make MyRoute-app better.
Cheers,
Corjan -
