route list within folders isnt resetting

I have many folders with 15+ files within each folder. When i am working on a ride or rides they used to end up at the top of what ever folders list i was working on now lately for some reason they are not. I used to be able to keep files numbered in order...say 1-5. Now when i work on say file # 3 it doesnt move to the top of the list and i cant get the order back together.
Any ideas as to why?

@brian-albee It probably depends on the way the filters are set. You can click one of the "parameters" in the toolbar that is shown when viewing the overview of multiple routes in a folder.
Click "Name" to set the sorting order for the Name parameter, or click on of the other parameters to filter by that parameter. Probably you've changed it by accident to i.e. Privacyacy setting or Modification date ?
