Using a track to navigate with MRA Navi
-
In our motorcycle club we share our events as a track. This way all users ride the same route.
One of our members told me he could not select a track to navigate with MRA Navigation, only a route. Tracks are not listed in MRA Navigation. This means there is a possibillity he will be riding a different trip then the other users. Is there a way to use a track without having to convert it to a route first?

@Olof-Rense MRA Navigation can only navigate using a Route, BUT with some workmanship your fellow rider can very easily make the route identical to the track from which it was converted. To stimulate that dude to also join the forum, I will not elaborate on that method in this post haha!
Ofcourse we (me included) will take the effort to explain it clearly if the question is being asked, but for now: 'no, MRA navigation cannot use tracks, but solely routes'.Note that the method requires the usage of the Here map, which is a Gold membership functionality. Without Here, the route cannot be made identical to the imported track. (for use in MRA Nav).

Thank you for your reply. Will this functionality be added in the near future..?

@Olof-Rense Probably not, but I'm not in the development team. You can request this on the great suggestion list on this forum.

Hi Stefan, I've already made the mistake once. But "the great suggestion list" is closed.

@Jack-van-Tilburg oh gosh, I was not aware of that! Thanks for the heads-up!

@StefanHummelink which should not stop anybody to introduce new requests. MRA will need some inspiration once the current roadmap is finished and maybe they can take good suggestions on board durign the roadmap when they fit existing plans
When I do I always use the title: "Feature request: xxx x x xx x x xx x x" so that it stands out.
