There are lots and lots of posts about that, scattered around the forum, if you search.
It seems a mistake to remove Google Maps and I am sure this is getting some further thought. I just hope that there is no technical reason that it can't be done in the new system - we do need Google Maps back.

Google maps is mijns insziens een noodzaak. Juist met plannen van stops wil je op deze kaart zien waar je tankstations, winkels/supermarkten, pinautomaten kunt vinden. Een essentieel onderdelen van plannen. Nu moet ik weer een extra scherm openen met google maps daarop en meescrollen.

@Anonymouse 100% agree, Google Maps was an essential part of MyRoute App and my most used map layer.

Oddly enough, as you are saying it seems that there were a lot of users that used Google maps, instead I find much more easier the Openstreet map and the Michelin map.
